Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy and have designed this site around data minimisation: cookieless web analytics, no advertising, and we never sell any personal data.

Last updated: 2026-05-31

perp101 (the “Site”) is an independent Traditional-Chinese website teaching cryptocurrency derivatives, operated by mnmedia. This policy explains what data we collect when you use the Site, how we use it, and the rights you have.

What data we collect

The Site minimises data collection and does not ask you to provide personally identifying information. The data we collect includes:

  • Web analytics (anonymous, aggregated): via our self-hosted Plausible Analytics (no cookies), we record aggregate statistics such as page views, referring sites, approximate country/region, and device and browser type. This data contains no personally identifying information and does not track you across other websites.
  • Performance monitoring (RUM): to keep the site fast, we record page-load performance metrics (Web Vitals such as LCP, INP, CLS), the page path, and browser type. No personal data.
  • Error logging: when the site or your browser encounters an error, we record the error message, the URL where it occurred, and browser information, so we can diagnose and fix problems.
  • Issue reports: if you use the “Report an issue” feature, we store the content you submit; contact details are optional and are stored only if you choose to provide them, and used solely to reply to you.
  • Site search: the keywords you search on the Site are logged (not linked to your identity) and used to improve our content and tools.

IP address and cookies

  • We do not store your IP address. Your IP is used only momentarily for rate-limiting and abuse prevention; it is not retained and is not used to identify you.
  • The Site uses no tracking or advertising cookies. Our web analytics is cookieless; we use browser storage only where strictly necessary to keep the site working.

How we use this data

  • To improve our educational content, calculator tools, and site performance.
  • To detect and fix errors and anomalies.
  • To reply to questions you submit via “Report an issue”.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to third parties.

Third parties and affiliate links

The Site contains affiliate links to Binance. When you click through to open a Binance account or trade, you leave the Site and enter Binance’s website, at which point Binance’s own privacy policy applies and we have no control over how Binance handles your data. If you register or trade through our links we may receive compensation from Binance; however, this does not increase your costs in any way, and our referral links neither provide nor reduce any additional discount or fee. Our web analytics is self-hosted (first-party) and does not share your browsing data with any third-party analytics service.

Data retention and security

We retain data only for as long as necessary to achieve the purposes above, and we apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it. Aggregated analytics and performance data may be retained long-term to observe trends, but it contains no personal data.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of data you have actively provided to us (for example, contact details entered in “Report an issue”). Where the GDPR applies, you also have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of and objection to processing, and data portability. To exercise any of these rights, or for any privacy question, please contact us using the details below.

Minors

Derivatives trading carries a high degree of risk; the Site’s content is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

Governing law and supervisory authority

The Site is operated by mnmedia, whose data-controller establishment is in the Czech Republic (Czechia). This Privacy Policy and our processing of personal data are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If you believe we have processed your personal data unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in the Czech Republic this is the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, ÚOOÚ) — and you may also contact the data-protection authority in your country of residence.

Updates to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For material changes we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page; please review it periodically to stay informed.
